Technologist

Livingston Johnson has over 22 years of enterprise IT experience and an extensive background in all aspects of the data/voice/video networked environment. He has demonstrated particular strengths in enterprise IT strategy and security.

Most recently he was the CIO of Accel Partners, a top-tier venture capital firm, where he was responsible for worldwide operations and provided consulting services to many successful technology start-up companies. He led development teams in the areas of audio and videoconferencing, video storage and delivery, algorithms and protocols at such notable companies as PictureTel, Polycom and Wal-Mart.com.

Since co-founding MedAvante in early 2002, Mr. Johnson has been responsible for applying technology in innovative ways to advance MedAvante's mission. Although MedAvante is not a technology company, creative application of technology makes our powerful methodology possible. Just as recent advances in video conferencing has allowed MedAvante's centralization of screening and core psychometric assessments, other technologies and applications in development will provide future competitive advantages and barriers to entry.
